INFO & FAQ

INFO AND REGULATIONS

Making an appointment:

For an appointment you can contact me by sending an e-mail to info@lunatattoo.be or a DM on Instagram.

To help you as quickly as possible, it is best to mention what you want, where and how large you want the tattoo (you can add some inspiration photos). Take a look below for what is possible for a unique tattoo design.

Pricing and deposit:

The starting price for a tattoo is 90 euros. Of all the information that you send me, I will give you an estimated price but the final price depends on the final size of the tattoo and the time it takes for tattooing. If you change your mind about the place or eventual size at the appointment, the price may increase. Even if I have to make many adjustments to the design.

To block an appointment I request a deposit (that I mention in the e-mail) and that is around 30 procent of the estimated price. It will be deducted from the total amount. And must be paid 48 hours before the appointment.

A deposit will be kept and requested again if:

     - you don't show up for the appointment
     - you cancel 48 hours before the appointment
     - you want a different design 48 hours before the appointment

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Can I get a design before the day of the tattoo?

No, you see your design on the appointment itself. If you aren't satisfied with the design we adjust the design togheter. But it's possible that the price has to be adjusted. I expect enough information from your side to create a design that you're happy with

If you still want to sit together to discuss a design than we make an appointment, after receiving a deposite, in the studio or through video calling. Here we discuss the sketches togheter and I adjust where necessary. This is not a finished design but a sketch.

What should I do on the day of my tattoo?

- For your tattoo appointment it's important that you're well rested and have eaten well. Also, make sure that you're not under the influence of alcohol or drugs. If this is the case, I can refuse you.

- Secondly, think about what you are going to wear. You know where you are likely to get your tattoo, so make sure you dress so that you can expose this area so that you feel comfortable.

Don’t wear your Sunday best. While tattoo ink will generally not stain clothes, but there is always the possibility of getting ink on your clothes.

Do tattoos fade after healing?

Tattoos will fade due to the natural age-ing process, however a few things may speed up the fading process. Such as direct sunlight and extended exposure to sunlight. Tattoos will also fade depending on the location and placement of your piece. It's important to take care of the tattoo as explained to you to reduce the chance of a touch up. If you don't allow the tattoo to heal properly, you are much more likely to have problems with the end result.

Tattoo touch ups can only take place once your tattoo is fully healed, anywhere between 6 weeks and 3 months. If you want a touch up after 3 months or a second touch up you have to pay 60 euros.

Does it hurt?

The simple answer is, yes it does. However, not as much as some people might think. The pain of a tattoo is often comparable to a cat scratch. Any area directly over bone will be more sensitive, like ribs, feet, hands, ankle,... Less sensitive spots are protected by a muscle like the fore-arm, upper-arm, shoulder, thigh, ... But everyone’s pain varies.

Do you tattoo minors?

Yes only 16+, but I need a parent to sign a parental authorization form togheter with a copy of their identity card.

Do you tattoo fingers or the sole of the foot?

Yes but I strongly advise against that. Because they fade away quickly and it's a really painful place. You will receive a free touch-up within three months, but after that you have to pay for a touch-up every time.

Can I use painkillers?

Pain killers can cause a problem because it thins the blood and it will cause excessive bleeding during tattooing, which will affect the quality of the finished tattoo. Aspirin will also extend the healing time that your tattoo needs. If you really need them for serious medical reasons, discus this first with me!
